Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP)
Effective 6/1/24-5/31/25 working parents with incomes at or below these income guidelines may qualify for the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) through the St. Lawrence County Department of Social Services:

The St. Lawrence Child Care Council works closely with the local Department of Social Services to assist families who need help paying for their child care costs. Although we do not make the final decision on who receives assistance, we can help you determine your potential eligibility. To find out if you may be eligible for help paying for child care, please contact the St. Lawrence Child Care Council at (315) 393-6474 and ask for Shana O'Grady-Tolen (Ext. 13).
Please contact the Day Care Unit at Department of Social Services at (315) 379-2285 to have a Child Care Assistance Program Application, Instructions and Child Care Assistance Information Packet & Required Forms mailed to you or you may click on the document names to download them. The application must be returned to the St. Lawrence County Department of Social Services, 6 Judson Street, Canton, NY 13617. If you have questions about your subsidy eligibility or co-pays please contact the Day Care Unit at (315) 379-2285.
Please contact the St. Lawrence Child Care Council at (315) 393-6474 Ext. 10 to have a Legally Exempt Child Care Provider Enrollment Form and Instructions sent to you or you may click on the document names to download them. The provider enrollment form must be returned to the St. Lawrence Child Care Council, 314 Ford Street, Ogdensburg, NY 13669. If you receive child care assistance and use a provider who is not licensed or registered with the NYS Office of Children & Family Services, your child care provider will need to complete this enrollment application with you.
